Working Remotely / Freelancer


Position Description:

These positions focus mainly on the geopolitics of the world. The role sits in the Geopolitics team within the Policy and Politics division. We generate analysis that shapes public debate, enhances the work of client governments, and supports partnerships which improve people’s lives.


This role will contribute to the Institute’s policy on a wide range of geopolitical issues related to domestic politics, foreign policy, trade, security, risk and developments, and what they mean for regional and global trends.

Applicants should have a deep interest and some experience in researching international relations, defence and security policies. They should be self-motivated and happy to work independently on their own but also harmoniously in a team as needed. Applicants should also possess good writing and research skills with an aptitude and interest for in-depth research a relevant field.


Key Responsibilities

The holder of this position will:

  • Work remotely and part-timely. Submit analysis reports on a regular basis.
  • Deploy a range of research methodologies to produce original, forward-looking analysis for leaders and clients on global, regional and country-specific issues.
  • Deliver a combination of impact assessments and private briefing papers for client governments and bespoke consultancy projects for individual leaders and governments to help assess the impact of emerging trends
  • Use data, files and expert insight to develop innovative but practical policy recommendations for governments and policymakers on how best to assess and respond to geopolitical developments and technological change
  • Supporting Threat Intelligence’s global advisory efforts to strengthen our proposition to political leaders globally
  • Present the Institute’s point of view in external meetings and conferences and support senior leaders in the Institute in their external engagements


The daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • gathering the relevant information from internal and external sources
  • Analyzing and summarizing research findings in a timely and precise manner in accordance with the relevant research requirements, procedures and legislation
  • information we provide is frequently relied on for critical business decisions, at the highest organisational levels.

Employee Benefit:

  • After probation, a basis of $250 and up to $500 dollars for each report of high quality. Detailed pay grade could be discussed in the interview according to employee's position a professional experience.
  • A feasible working pattern of $1000-$3000 monthly salary
