Position Summary

Economic Liberties seeks an Executive Assistant who will provide the Executive Director and senior team with scheduling and administrative support to execute on programmatic work. This role will take the lead in managing the team’s schedule to ensure smooth meetings, as well as assist with select administrative and operations work. The Executive Assistant position is an opportunity to work directly with the Executive Director to support key cross-functional processes that advance the mission of the organization. This role also works closely to the Operations Director and team.


Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Provide scheduling support for select senior staff and organize internal team meetings.
  • Support the Executive Director on donor relations including coordinating meetings, monitoring grant deadlines, supporting preparation of operational documents and ensuring timely submission.
  • Support network management and outreach by maintaining and updating the organization’s contacts and coordinating sending out key communications to allies and targeted lists.
  • Support virtual and in-person event logistics in coordination with program directors and the communications team.
  • Support operational tasks related to recruitment and work with the operations team to onboard new team members.
  • Any other tasks as may come up.


Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who is mission-focused, detail-oriented, has experience in schedule and meeting management and enjoys working in a fast-moving and collaborative environment across teams.

At least 1-2 years of experience as an executive assistant, scheduler, or senior administrative assistant at a non-profit, small firm or government position.


Experience with outlook calendar or other scheduling software.


Ability to learn and manage multiple database systems like EveryAction, Mobilize, etc.


Professional communication skills, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and navigate between multiple work streams.


Strong organizational skills that reflect an ability to keep track of multiple tasks, meet competing deadlines, and actively communicate potential conflicts to colleagues.


Ability to think creatively and execute established goals in a timely manner.


Strong sense of curiosity and orientation for learning.


Compensation and Benefits

The Team Executive Assistant is a full-time exempt position with an annual salary of $52,000 – $54,000. This is a DC-based role. Authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
