HOUSE MAJORITY PAC:

House Majority PAC is an independent expenditure only committee (often called a “Super PAC”) that is designed to help elect Democrats running for the House of Representatives and hold Republicans accountable. House Majority PAC is committed to building a long-term organization that can take on the Republican outside groups in the battle for the House Majority.


Primary Purpose: The Staff Assistant reports to IE leadership and assists with day to day activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is extremely organized and wants to learn the ins and outs of campaigns and political committees.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the IE leadership schedules on a daily and long-term basis, juggling internal and external meetings and conference calls; preparing meeting briefings and agendas;
  • Track TV spending, polling information, fundraising reports, and advertising at the request of IE leadership
  • Draft, edit, and update memos and presentations on regular basis;
  • Work with the IE leadership to manage, track, and reconcile products moving through the approval process
  • Other special projects, assignments, and duties as assigned by the leadership 
  • Proactively brainstorming and implementing more efficient methods for tracking and recording information
  • Taking organized notes in all meetings to assist the department in staying on track.
  • Continually and proactively identify areas for additional support aligning with organizational needs.


Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting Democratic values and causes
  • Experience interning or working on political campaigns, political consulting firms, with elected officials, campaign committees, or progressive organizations preferred;
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Strong verbal and written intra-office communication skills;
  • Ability to work efficiently, autonomously, and be responsive;


LOCATION:         Washington, DC

START DATE:      May/June 2024

TRAVEL:            Little to no travel will be required

SALARY:            Starting at $50,000 annualized, commensurate with experience
